![]() ![]() In general, Elgato Game Capture HD 1.2.1 can work with a game console with the following characteristics:ġ) Must have either HDMI output, or Component/D-Terminal outputĢ) If HDMI is used, the signal must be unencrypted (no HDCP protection)ģ) Must output standard TV resolutions, like 480p, 576p, 720p, 1080i or 1080pĤ) When using Elgato Game Capture HD 1.2.1 software and above, you can also use Composite input, for 240i or 480i video. Shame, because I have purchased other Elgato products, including the Facecam.Elgato Game Capture HD can work with all modern game consoles, and most older "retro" ones as well. If it isn’t resolved, can’t say I’ll ever buy another Elgato card again. Find the issue, fix it, update the firmware. ![]() I hope Elgato stops saying ‘it shouldn’t do that’ and start acknowledging that something is amiss when it comes to the PS5. A capture card shouldn’t make me feel like streaming with it is hopeless. I was super excited to finally get a PS5 and stream stuff like Demon’s Souls and Spider-Man and Returnal… and now, I’m hanging up streaming because this card can’t hack it for the console I actually want to spend the most time with now. My actual gaming monitor is fine, but the capture software? It often looks like it’s chopping itself down to 30fps. It doesn’t matter what resolution I select or what frame rate or what settings I change on the PS5 (which I have set to output at 1080p with no HDR or 120hz enabled, either)… still a bit of a mess. Even directly through Elgato’s own capture software, frames appear to be an issue. If fast motion causes the issue, then wouldn’t I have problems in other games on my Series X?Īnd the issue isn’t due to OBS, either. I would start to lay blame on my USB 3.0 ports perhaps not having enough power next… but then again, the PS5 is literally the only console that causes this issue. My PC’s CPU only hits like 9-12% usage, tops, and I don’t think my RTX 2080 is a problem either. Introduce my brand spanking new PS5, and… it works, but the frames definitely suffer. Never had issues with the PS4, Series X, or Switch. I’ve used my capture card for about a year and a half now. It’s astounding to me that Elgato seem to still be clueless about the issue with the HD60 S+. While I can't help with OBS Studio, have you tried a simple re-install of the 4K Capture Utility software? What would also help is the specs of your computer. ![]() OBS and the Elgato software crash or don't work on a daily basis Also, if you right-click on a video, then click on properties, can you take a screenshot of the page where it shows the resolution and bit rate and send the screenshot here. ![]() They're so bad that it's actually nauseating to watch at times.Ĭould you upload one of these videos to YouTube and share a link. What is the model number of the TV/monitor you have connected to the HD60 S+ passthrough?Įven after making that sacrifice, I still get horribly quality videos. I've got some questions for you that'll help me understand your setup and what I might recommend doing.įirst, I need to dumb down my consoles resolution just for the device to work at all. Hey there, sorry for the frustration with HD60 S+. ![]()
